Ten Million Reasons

The Economist recently published research where they estimate between 7m and 13m excess deaths since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.  Their mean estimate is 10m. In a post for the COVID-19 Actuaries Response Group I set out some thoughts on that.  Despite the potential for some inaccuracy there are clearly good reasons to ensure the world co-operates to address a global pandemic.
