Warning signs in the Rainbow nation
I recently posted on the COVID-19 Actuaries Response Group's website about warning signs for the 3rd wave in South Africa.
The warnings is based on these key points:
- Daily cases are increasing in South Africa.
- Test positivity is increasing.
- The reproduction number (R) as estimated from cases is above 1.
- Excess deaths is also increasing.
